1. Look up the Tutoring semester schedule of the 3 High schools,
until you find your name, the Professor and the section you have been assigned to (e.g.3C ), together with their focus (e.g. classical) , the students’ age, the day and time you will be tutoring.
In the section below you will find your Professor’ contacts;
make sure to save both their mobile number and their
email in order to establish a direct and clear communication with her/him.
2. Write her/him before right away to introduce yourself, telling her/him about your major, your reasons to be a tutor and propose some cultural topics you might like to share with the class.
Make a definite plan to be met at the main hall/gate by someone (either the professor or a student) on your first day.
Be aware that even if professors tend to be overwhelmed by the many duties and not as prompt answering emails and sms, establishing a direct communication with them is a key to a successful experience.
Most professors tend to read WhatsApp messages more regularly than emails.
In case you need help about issues that you do not feel like discussing with your professor, do not hesitate to contact the project coordinator, professor Daniela Curioso.
3. Go to the Temple Rome library to get photocopies, in case you want to prepare activities which require some handouts. Palma and Nicola will assist you.
