- I have worked with kids and teenagers in a number of situations before, but working with the students at Mamiani was a whole different experience. I learned so much about Italian culture and I think the opportunity allowed me to open up a little bit more to people. You really have to put yourself out there and sometimes even answer some strange questions from the students because they're very curious. I've gained a lot of communication skills that I never would have been able to if it weren't for my experience at Mamiani. I somehow figured out how to capture the attention of an entire class of 13 and 14 year old Italians. It really was a useful and enriching experience. The students are so amazing, I loved learning about them and just helping them be more confident with their English.
